Your blind arrives complete on its extruded aluminium tube with the brackets and chainwheel fitted. Alongside it, you will find the hand chain with its joining shackle, the chain guide, the C brackets for the bottom bar, the locking box, and all the fixing bolts.

Important. Do not remove the shrink wrap until the blind is bolted in place, as marked on the packaging. Drops over 4.2m also take aluminium side channels for health and safety.
Six steps to a fitted blind
This is the short version of the printed guide that comes with your blind. Keep the shrink wrap on until the blind is bolted up.
Measure between the brackets
Carefully measure the distance between the brackets on the blind, from fixing hole to fixing hole, not from the edge of the brackets. Use this measurement to mark where the blind will be fitted, and check the distance between your marks matches.
Mark level, and slightly off centre
The gap from the edge of the mesh to the edge of the bracket is bigger on the chainwheel side, so the brackets need to sit slightly off centre for the mesh to hang central in the opening. Check your marks are level and correct, then drill the bracket holes.
Lift the blind into place and bolt it up
Partially remove the shrink wrap so the brackets at each end are exposed. Position the blind, using clamps to support it if needed, line the fixing holes up, and bolt it securely to the wall. Remove the clamps once it is fixed.
Fit the chain guide and thread the chain
Attach the chain guide to the bracket using the bottom bolt on the bracket. The top bolt is not needed and can be removed. Thread the chain through the guide, around the chainwheel, and back through the other hole in the guide, then join the two ends with the shackle provided.
Mark and fit the C brackets
Remove the rest of the shrink wrap. Pull the blind down to its lowest point with the chain and mark the position on both sides of the wall, then roll it back up out of the way. Line the C brackets up with your marks, drill, and bolt them on. The bottom bar sits in these brackets and holds the blind securely when pulled down.
Mount the locking box and test
Drill and mount the locking box on your post at a height that suits you. It locks the chain in place and lets you tension the blind. Pull the blind down to test that the bottom bar sits in the C brackets and the chain locks off. That is the job done.

Fitting questions, answered plainly
The chainwheel takes up more room at one end of the tube, so the gap between the mesh and the bracket is bigger on that side. Setting the brackets slightly off centre means the mesh itself hangs central in the opening.
